Film Costs

Film costs are the most vexing question on the Producer's mind when preparing to shoot a film or television project.  What does a film cost?   What does it cost to make my film? What is the budget?  is the most often asked question by investors.

The cost of a film must be determined by a qualified line producer or unit production manager experienced in film cost and crew expense.

Movie Budgeting

Movie budgets  - Tip of the day.

1.  Don't under budget.  It may seem simple but many people who make film budgets attempt to get the budget so low that they remove the ability to adapt to change.  Leave a little room to wiggle.

2. If you are not an expert on fringes, make sure to have a qualified production accountant review your budget.  Fringe costs can be an unexpected overage or savings.

3.  A good budget is required to get your project funded.

Filmbudget.com provides filmmakers accurate film budgets and schedules.

Film budgeting is the craft of the Line Producer and Unit Production Manager.  We create quality, custom proven movie budgets.

Check back for our Tips of the day.  Thank you and good filming.
