The Tribeca Film Festival, TFF, opens Wednesday April 21, 2011 and closes Sunday May 2. For Box Office Information you can visit http://www.tribecafilm.com/festival/tickets/

The Founders of the Tribeca Festival are Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff.  The TFF came about in New York City one year after the September 11th Attacks in 2001 where the founders saw film as a vehicle towards recovery for the affected Tribeca Neighborhood in Manhattan.   Tribeca has quickly grown as a center of indie film,  art and film in New York City.

At the event, the Cast, Crew and Director are often times on hand for a Question and Answer upon completion of their screenings.  The couple hundred films chosen for screening come from a pool of over 5,000 films submitted each year from all over the world.  Almost every film screened is holding its North American, International, or World Premiere, so you will be amongst the first eyes to ever see these artists work and be part of one a major event in the World of Film Festivals.

Submissions are now no longer accepted for films to participate in the 2011 TFF.  To stay informed on future submission dates and eligibility for 2012, you can email your questions to entries@tribecafilmfestival.org or call (212)941-2305
