Los Angeles Film Festival - LAIFF

Presented by the the industry leading independent film organization Film Independent, the LAIFF supports in competition and sidebars a wide selection of indie films from around the world without neglecting its Hollywood roots and the fast rise of many of the talented filmmakers whom have had their start here, from a background of low film budgets. Now in its 16th year, the 2010 edition boasted 200 features from 40 countries.

Mahler on the Couch from Germany
Revolucion from Mexico
Waiting For "Superman" from USA
Past Premieres have included The Devil Wears Prada and Sunshine.
Film Independent likewise produces the Spirit Awards showcasing and honoring independent spirit of filmmakers and their supporters.
