Raindance Film Festival

The Raindance Film Festival holds its yearly screenings and competitions in London, England in the fall.  Raindance, founded by independent filmmaker Elliot Grove, is the ultimate indie film festival in the UK and world reknowned as well.

Raindance runs activities throughout the year for low film budget motion pictures and including medium range film budget productions as well.   The staff runs classes and competitions and contributes intelligent articles and commentary on their blogs and website.

The coming award categories to be honored at the festival run the gamut and include Best International Feature, Best International Short, Best UK Feature, Best UK Short, Best Micro Budget Feature, Best Documentary Feature, Best Debuting Feature Films, Film of the Festival and the Distribution Award.

World renowned films have premiered at Raindance, such as 'The Blair Witch Project', 'Memento', 'Capturing the Friedmans', 'Oldboy, 'Karasota: Life After the USSR' amongst others.

The festival also includes plenty of Master Classes, talks and Q and A's.  There is even a full training program designed for writers, producers, directors and filmmakers in London.

Classes instruct students and filmmakers on the skills involved with working with less than a studio sized film budget and providing film production services.

The audience of the Festival ranges from your regular film fans to writers, journalists, producers, directors and acquisition executives who know to look to Raindance for quality in film.
