The 67th Venice International Film Festival runs September 1 through September 10 on the Venice Lido and is put on by La Biennale di Venezia.

This festival is extremely prestigious for the international film community and attracts major U.S., European and Asian movie stars.   Film budgets represented by the entrants range from small independent films to major Hollywood releases.  Marco Mueller is the festival Director as he has been since 2004.  The venerable Italian festival is the oldest film and arts festival in the world.



Quentin Tarantino will hand out the award for Best Film - The Golden Lion.

Entrance for a film to this festival is highly coveted by filmmakers as one of the top 3 film festivals in the world.

La Biennale di Venezia is one of the most highly revered cultural institutions in the world, celebrating film, music, dance, theater and all facets of the arts both in business and creativity.  It was created in 1895 as the 1st international art exhibit.
